Conceptual sketches of the Particle City

Particle City is a speculative, fictional urban design concept. As a part of the project 'Playful Energy', I proposed this concept based on extensive research in energy harvesting and various aspects of human activities. The research shows the effort to make this scenario a logical and rational development of trends that are already visible in the present and to make the viewer see in a possible renewable energy city that is operated by human power.

In 2030, we live in the world where the place op- erates only with renewable energy sources – this means that it reproduces itself through the use of solar, wind, thermal and motion power. Human movement can always be collected and stored.The drawing shows an atomic aggregation. It is a giant energy hub where providing renewable energy. It is extremely spiritual and significant to the city operating energy.

The installation focused on visualizing and experimenting the future energy system It demonstrates an interactive, human-powered energy harvesting system that converts a person’s movement into the light, sound, and motion. The installation explores the interaction of bodies in space, movement, materials, and energy.
