The Gaia theory by James Lovelock says that our planet has the self-maintain system that preserves its conditions. What we think on the earth affect the nature in order to make the environment more suitable for life and it forms certain characteristics. Normally, it does not appear on the surface unless you look closer. Sometimes, it appears in a form of patterns with a mathematical or like computational procedure.
I have fascinated pattern of nature. After visiting Island and Alps, I have tried to demonstrate unique patterns with mixed media. My works seek for the potential aesthetics of ordinary materials in our daily life and also questions us how ‘Objectified’ object could create different assumptions and change our perceptions. Because, as a human, we see the things from our limited perspective.
We are all travelers, strangers, explorers, and aliens. When we look objects with different lenses in extraordinary details, we could find another planet.
